At a time when so much is labelled as sustainable, our certifications provide guidance and show that we are on the right path. Being organic and sustainable has never been a marketing strategy for us – it comes naturally from our deepest convictions. We are delighted if our awards help to make our commitment even more visible.
The KlimaHotel sealis based on the KlimaHaus standard and is awarded to hotels that operate in a particularly resource-efficient and environmentally responsible way, both in construction and daily management. Ecological, economic and social aspects are all taken into account in the assessment. We are the first hotel to receive this award.
We are the first hotel in Italy recommended by Demeter. Demeter hotels apply the principles of biodynamics to cuisine, hospitality and all operational processes. Through our Bergerhof, we are able to unite biodynamic agriculture and hotel life. Demeter farming is considered the most sustainable and most rigorous form of agriculture, going far beyond EU organic regulations. Plants are understood as a whole and strengthened naturally so that they can protect themselves - supported by biodynamic preparations. Biodynamics also takes biodiversity and the lunar cycles, as well as their influence on the water cycle, into account.
Certification by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council is a globally recognised standard for sustainable tourism, covering sustainable management as well as socio-economic, cultural and environmental sustainability. It is awarded to hotels and destinations.
ClimaHost is a climate protection competition for accommodation and hospitality businesses in the Alpine region, recognising measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and promote sustainable tourism. We were awarded as the most climate-friendly hotel.
