The future is plant-based
We are one of the few vegan/vegetarian hotels in Italy
Do you know the feeling? You follow a vegan diet and while travelling it’s not always easy to find suitable options? Vegan alternatives are often limited and uninspiring? At our hotel in South Tyrol, specialising in vegan and vegetarian cuisine, you’ll find complete understanding for a meat-free or dietary lifestyle. We put just as much care and creativity into these dishes as into our “traditional” menu. All ingredients are organic, fresh, regional and sustainably sourced.
The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.
Why eat vegan?
People choose a vegan diet for many different reasons. The most common are animal welfare and ethics, but also environmental and climate protection, as animal-based foods generate more greenhouse gas emissions and require significant amounts of water, land and feed. By consuming plants directly instead of feeding them to animals, veganism is also more resource-efficient and supports a fairer distribution of food worldwide. Many philosophical or religious groups also reject or limit the consumption of meat.
Health aspects
Studies often show that vegans have a healthier gut microbiome, lower cholesterol and blood pressure levels, and a reduced risk of heart attack, stroke, diabetes, obesity and certain types of cancer. However, to fully benefit from a long-term vegan diet, a balanced and varied approach is essential. This ensures an adequate intake of all important vitamins and minerals, such as vitamin B12, iron and iodine. Whatever your dietary preference, it is always important to listen carefully to what your body needs.
