At the same time, the mountains call - whether for hiking or skiing. The Christmas season is especially magical during a winter holiday in South Tyrol, with its festive markets and the beautifully illuminated Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle.
Very close to us is the Merano Christmas Market, one of the most famous in South Tyrol. The markets in Bolzano, Bressanone, Lana and Val Sarentino are also easily reached by train or bus for a full Christmas market tour. Browse handcrafted gift ideas, sample fragrant festive treats and warm your hands with a cup of mulled wine. In recent years, the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle have also hosted the Lumagica light park during winter.
In the ski and hiking paradise above the spa town, you can enjoy skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, snowshoe hiking, ski touring and tobogganing - and of course indulge in rustic South Tyrolean specialities in the mountain huts. While we are not a traditional ski hotel, we are happy to provide our ski room for your equipment. Three ski areas can be reached within 30 minutes.
